Core stabilisation exercises and why?

Core stabilisation is always overlooked by many, yes it’s great to be deadlifting, squatting, benching and of course curling, and these exercises are sexy. But they won’t be unless we can control our body in these positions so we can get the most out of each movement.

Having core stabilisation exercises within our programming is key here at PERFIT to getting our members to understand how to generate optimum power throughout their lifts within the gym but also in general daily activities, from sports to gardening, to carrying shopping bags and boxes to playing on the beach with your family.

Having this improved strength and stability across our body significantly helps with correcting our posture. It also helps us to perform better, and is key to being more robust and injury free. Most importantly being able to happily move with purpose as your own individual athlete when needed and not falling short.
